Later on, for the sake of constructing the project, promotion shall be done through visiting a number of countries and holding promotional seminars to attract investments to this project.

E.     The Project of Preparing and Improving Safety and Security System in Refineries

While following safety rules, instructions and condition is crucial, fulfilling the requirements of safety and security is even more imperative. This can only be through availing modern equipment and preparations and meeting the demands of such a vital sector particularly in oil and gas plants, which are highly risky. Realizing all of this, YORC has made this project an essential part of its 2004 plan. Also in 2003, it signed a contract to import a fire-truck.

In 2005, it shall commit itself to finalize all requirements by availing tools, training facilities, and awareness-raising aids as well as visual and readable guidance and instructions. Actually, plans have been made to carry out its first stage this year.

F.     Information Systems Network Project:

Since the outset of its foundation, YORC has been concerned with conducting a number of studies on some investment projects and promotional activities by holding scientific seminars and international gatherings inside and outside Yemen. This brought about fruitful results. Also due to exerting a lot of efforts in the process of collecting data and information on relevant oil projects and on oil industries in general and refining industry in particular, YORC realized that it had no other alternative except archiving and storing such information by following the modern ways as a means of benefiting from such processes. Thus, YORC has included it in 2005 plan and allocated a special funding from its 2005 budget.

Beyond and above, the Company has been doing its best to overcome any obstacles and barriers confronting its work and tasks; for example it was capable of achieving the following;

  • It was able to carry out maintenance works on the refinery camp (offices and premises)

  • It technically maintained the motive factor (catalysts) ??
